“In 11th/12th grade U.S. Government class, students learned about the lawmaking process in detail. Students put their learning into action by participating in a Mock Congress: as Senators and Representatives. They wrote bills related to our school, presented them, worked through committees, debated them on the floor, and voted. After working through both chambers, several bills were presented to President [Principal] Rush for her signature or veto. She signed five measures into law, which we will be implementing at our school!”
